The boys were back at it again on UCB Radio Hour last night.  The first show since the Cardinals reported to Jupiter was sure not to disappoint.

Well, I must say that at least one of these decisions by GM John Mozeliak and his front office counterparts with the Cardinals was a surprise.
The Cards elected to decline to offer arbitration to any of their three “compensatory” free agents – Russ Springer, Braden Looper, and Jason Isringhausen.  They also did not offer arbitration [...]

George Kissell
1920-2008
Longtime Cardinal player, coach, and teacher George Kissell passed away yesterday from injuries sustained in a car accident Monday night in St Petersburg FL.
Kissell has been a long-time instructor with the Cardinals, teaching scores of players young and old, how to play the game of baseball.

Save McClellan for next year

I think it’s time to start thinking about shutting Kyle McClellan down (if he’s not unofficially done anyway) for the season, albeit what little is left of it.
Kyle had another rough outing on Tuesday night, surrendering three runs in one-third of an inning.
