Skip Schumaker

I don’t want to say Schumaker became a second baseman by default, but it’s safe to say that there weren’t a [...]

The United Cardinal Bloggers‘ January project tasked us bloggers with putting together a Cardinals team made up of the best at each position, in our opinion, during the recently completed decade.  Not really any other restrictions placed on this one, other than it was due on Friday.  Oops.  Better late than never.
Not surprisingly, there is [...]

PH8 across the interwebs

We showed up on a couple other outposts in the blogosphere lately…
MVN Outsider carried our Cardinals Trade Deadline Preview just a few hours before the big Matt Holliday trade.
One of my favorite parts of that post?
As protective as Cardinals management has been of their minor-league system, I can’t see them parting with Wallace for a [...]

If you needed any more evidence to back up our prior assertion that Chris Duncan is one of the more polarizing players of recent Cardinal history, you need only read the wide variety and massive number of St Louis mainstream media pieces, blog posts, and message board threads on the Duncan-Julio Lugo trade.
For every “THANK [...]

Well, are you a Cardinal fan that rejoices at this news or one that laments the treatment Chris Duncan received in St Louis?
Do you think Duncan never got a fair shake, or that he never had to actually make the team?
Will Lil’ Dunc ever become the hitter his potential showed in 2006 and the first-half [...]

I had to laugh at the headline link on ESPN.com (that’s the Eastern Seaboard Promotion Network, for those of us in the Midwest) after Tuesday night’s Cardinals – Tigers game.
The Cards exploded on offense, plating all eleven of their runs by the end of the sixth inning.
Albert Pujols had a fine game by all accounts, [...]

Well, judging by the title, this should be a fun exercise, no?
Good thing: Colby Rasmus going three-for-four with a home run, double, single, a run scored and one batted in.
Bad thing: Dan and Al going on incessantly about how Rasmus “only needs a triple for the cycle” following the single to put him in such [...]

[Ed. note - While the usual suspect around here is on vacation, we've drummed up some great guest posters to take the reins and keep our loyal readers (all three of you) entertained.  Today's guest post is from Sherwood Farnham.  If you're not already following Sherwood on Twitter @Mstrdstr12, you should be.  It should be [...]

Today we take part in another United Cardinal Bloggers project, choosing a side of a debate topic to, well, debate with another member of the UCB blogging syndicate.
My very worthy adversary today is Andrea over at Baseball Digest.  We will be arguing politely discussing the merits of resigning center fielder Rick Ankiel at the end [...]
