Chris Perez

…then you haven’t seen anything yet! So apparently, just to spite me and my post from last night, lambasting the amount of walks surrendered by the Cards’ bullpen this season, Chris Perez went out this afternoon and one-upped me. Yes Chris, you have proven your point. Giving up a walk is not the worst thing [...]

Where the bullpen falters

by on June 18, 2008 · 0 comments

Ok, who can come up with the most jokes quickest here? “Any Major League ballpark?” “Any field that has dirt?” “Everywhere?” As I was watching the Cardinals’ blow another good start by Braden Looper, this time with Kyle McClellan the culprit, I was thinking about what the major downfall of this year’s bullpen has been. Play a hard … six??

What a great weekend for the Cardinals and their fans.  Stan Musial, all-time Cardinal great, was honored today with Stan Musial Day, they unveiled a [...]

But could yesterday’s 10-inning, walk-off home run win against the Rays be what turns this team back around? Could this convince [...]

The Cardinals made the expected move today, sending one-time closer Jason Isringhausen to a DL stint, and calling up Chris Perez from AAA Memphis. One can only wonder if this is the end of Izzy’s rope, with this being the final year of his contract. Godspeed Izzy. Get your arm worked out and get back [...]
