A lot has indeed changed since November when I predicted an NL Central finish like this one:
- Cardinals
- Reds
- Astros
- Cubs
- Brewers
- Pirates
Now I’ve revised my list to this:
- Brewers
- Cardinals
- Reds
- Cubs
- Astros
- Pirates
Why?
- Adam Wainwright went under the knife
- Shaun Marcum’s velocity isn’t what it’s supposed to be right now
- Cueto isn’t 100% as of yet
- The Pena/Garza deal in Chicago looks reasonably good (until Garza gets into the Windy City)
- The Reds don’t look at all improved over last season
In case the rest of the UCB folks forgot, we produced a prediction list way back in November, and you can find it here. Might be worth checking to keep yourselves honest.
Like it? Forgot that the UCB did a roundtable like this recently? Follow gr33nazn on Twitter for more reminders!
Cardinals fan since I could hold a fishing pole steady. Accidental blogger. Opinionated. I could care less about what you think of me. Constantly confounded, bemused, and confuzzled (ie I'm a pc and a mac). I'm an IT infrastructure analyst with a penchant for breaking tech toys. I ate a sabermetric primer for breakfast. I love playing "All-powerful GM of MLB". The 2010 Cardinals represented a good, practical definition "cognitive dissonance". The 2011 version got by on duct tape and a prayer, and I'm fine with that. They just need new tape for #12 in 12.
