Hump Day Poll: What is a K-Lo Worth?

You’ve been given control of the decision-making process for the Cardinals just this once.  After you have bounced around in John Mozeliak’s office and called in Mike Matheny for a discussion about banning the bunt, you have to call Scott Boras and invite him in for a chat.  Would you rather extend Kyle Lohse’s stay than send him away to free agency?  Would you prefer to send him packing with a kick in the backside for good luck?  Given some reasonable choices, pick the option that you would go with and be willing to explain to the fans of Cardinal Nation no matter how things turn out.

Cardinals fan since I could hold a fishing pole steady. Accidental blogger. Opinionated. I could care less about what you think of me. Constantly confounded, bemused, and confuzzled (ie I'm a pc and a mac). I'm an IT infrastructure analyst with a penchant for breaking tech toys. I ate a sabermetric primer for breakfast. I love playing "All-powerful GM of MLB". The 2010 Cardinals represented a good, practical definition "cognitive dissonance". The 2011 version got by on duct tape and a prayer, and I'm fine with that. They just need new tape for #12 in 12.

Had to go with help him pack since my option of choice is not on there.

Make him a qualifying offer (no longer than for next season) and say goodbye.

It only takes one team to overpay, and I pray that team is not wearing the BoB.

I think letting him go to free agency is a much better plan than making any offer, if you don’t really want him back.
