Derrick Goold on UCB Radio Hour

by on January 19, 2009 · 2 comments

9pm CT Wednesday night marks the next installment of UCB Radio.

I will be the host for this edition, as Derrick Goold joins us to take a smattering of questions.

Derrick is going to be a bit short on time, so as with our last special guest, we will be conducting a Q&A of sorts with DG to start off the show, then start taking your calls after our time with him.

If you have a question you’d like asked of Derrick while he’s on with us, please post it below and we’ll try to get it on.

Then, tune in Wednesday night (01/21) at 9pm using the link above!

Writing about the Cardinals and other loosely associated topics since 2008, I've grown tired of the April run-out only to disappoint Cardinal fans everywhere by mid-May. I do not believe in surrendering free outs.

I just finished listening to the show and I wanted to comment on what you guys were discussing near the end. I’m not so sure other GM’s are trying to take advantage of Mo as the new guy. If you look back to last trade deadline, who did the Cards miss out on? I remember hearing rumblings on Holiday, Fuentes, and Ohman. None of those guys moved to anybody. I just think the asking price was to high across the board. It isn’t like they asked the Cardinals for their best prospect and then went to Walt and traded for the Reds 12th rated prospect.

Certainly agreed.

I think perhaps asking prices were too high across the board, yet there are a lot of Cardinal fans still screaming because Mo wouldn’t pull the trigger.

I’m glad he wouldn’t cave, just for the sake of making a move.
