On the morning of January 19th, I started collecting links – as many as I can find with minimal effort – that discuss the Albert Pujols contract discussions. Why? Who knows, yet here they are. Oh, and to serve you all, our three loyal readers! The Daily Pujols certainly won’t be a comprehensive list, but between local, national, and blog coverage, maybe you’ll find something here you otherwise wouldn’t. Without further delay, here is today’s Daily Pujols…
Have you seen The Albert Countdown yet? TICK TOCK MANG
Redbird Dugout takes a couple of statistical, practical approaches to valuing an Albert Pujols contract. I wish logic and reason would factor in to the negotiations, as suggested by this post. It also has a shameless shout-out to the DP. *blush*
Aaron Miles’ Fastball (now of the new G9 Sports Network) breaks down a handful of things we KNOW about the Pujols negotiations. No speculation on how negotiations are progressing, but rather things we know going to the table.
Plenty of Pujols-ian goodness to go around in Joe Strauss’ weekly chat at STLToday.com. Some examples include (paraphrasing): “Pujols’ ego is getting in the way of what is right.” Or some such. Always entertaining, never disappoints.
Phil Rogers (surprisingly) addresses the no-trade rumors with the same “non-news” approach I feel they deserve, and then lays out the case for the Cubs signing away #5. Or not, depending on whether Tom Ricketts will spend the dough.
A couple of dudes on WEEI in Boston discuss the impact AP’s new deal might have on Adrian Gonzalez and his new deal in Boston.
There were no unfounded rumors to rip off and completely twist out-of-context today, apparently. Oh, c’mon – I kid.
