Friday, October 8th, 2010: All year long Ryan Stovall feasted on Pioneer League pitching to the tune of a .274 batting average. For his outstanding efforts he collected the league's Outstanding Hitter Award for 2010.
The Idaho Falls Chukars third baseman slammed opposing pitchers for 49 hits, 13 home runs and 51 RBIs, while scoring 39 times. |
 | Heckathorn Triumphs in Outstanding Pitcher Award Voting
Thursday, October 7th, 2010: The 2010 Pioneer League Outstanding Pitcher Award has gone to Helena Brewers ace Kyle Heckathorn after a stellar 7-3 season.
In 14 starts he piled up 91.1 innings, 83 strikeouts, 50 walks and a 2.66 ERA. Heckathorn held opposing hitters to a .234 batting average. |
