UPDATED 07/17/2012: Many thanks to the folks from 101 ESPN The Fast Lane for giving us some linkage love today.  To get the absolute latest information, click here.

Several weeks ago I posted information about Skip Schumaker’s upcoming charity event to benefit Reesa Stutzman (original post here).  Some relevant information has since become available, and here is more information about the event.  Please note that Berkman’s injury has changed his availability for the event.  I would hope that fans understand this and will still provide as much support as possible, regardless of which players can attend.  Personally, I’d pay the price of admission just to go meet Skip and help out the Stutzman family.  Hope you all feel the same way.

Tickets go on sale July 16th at 8 am by calling 636-978-0461 or 636-980-3740, or in person at SunRise UMC, 7116 Twin Chimneys Blvd., O’Fallon, MO.

Cardinals fan since I could hold a fishing pole steady. Accidental blogger. Opinionated. I could care less about what you think of me. Constantly confounded, bemused, and confuzzled (ie I'm a pc and a mac). I'm an IT infrastructure analyst with a penchant for breaking tech toys. I ate a sabermetric primer for breakfast. I love playing "All-powerful GM of MLB". The 2010 Cardinals represented a good, practical definition "cognitive dissonance". The 2011 version got by on duct tape and a prayer, and I'm fine with that. They just need new tape for #12 in 12.
