ST. LOUIS (March 1, 2012)– The St. Louis Cardinals have released their much anticipated 2012 promotional schedule, consisting of at least 34 giveaways and highlighted by a variety of 2011 World Championship memorabilia and items commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the 1982 World Championship.

The highlights of the schedule include a replica wearable Championship ring presented by Edward Jones (April 14th) and Replica Championship Pennant (April 15th) as part of the Cardinals opening weekend festivities, as well as a replica World Championship Trophy sponsored by tickets.com on Sunday, April 29th, an Ameren Missouri Tony La Russa Retirement Figurine on Friday May 11, and a David Freese Bobblehead presented by Scotts on Sunday, May 13th.  The 30th Anniversary – 1982 Championship weekend against the Brewers (Aug.3-5) presented by Majestic Athletics is expected to be very popular and reminiscent with appearances by some of the 1982 World Championship team and the current Cardinals team wearing throwback 1982 uniforms all weekend long. Cardinals fan since I could hold a fishing pole steady. Accidental blogger. Opinionated. I could care less about what you think of me. Constantly confounded, bemused, and confuzzled (ie I'm a pc and a mac). I'm an IT infrastructure analyst with a penchant for breaking tech toys. I ate a sabermetric primer for breakfast. I love playing "All-powerful GM of MLB". The 2010 Cardinals represented a good, practical definition "cognitive dissonance". The 2011 version got by on duct tape and a prayer, and I'm fine with that. They just need new tape for #12 in 12.
