When the folks over at Chartball asked if I’d like to receive and take a look at their latest season history poster, for the World Champion 2011 St. Louis Cardinals, of course I was interested.
The poster is an infographic-style presentation of the Cards’ 2011 season and various statistics and milestones from said season.
Having checked out the preview of the poster on Chartball’s website (you can zoom in on the image there for a closer look), I can tell you that this poster is not what I expected to show up at my door.
It’s way better.
The laminated, large-format poster is not just a printed piece run through the laminator at your office – all stiff and with awful light glare and air pockets. This piece is a high-quality print on with a lightweight laminate that makes it great for framing and hanging while preserving it for many years of enjoyment.
The bottom corner of the poster recaps the playoff run in box-score format, as seen above. It’s the perfect, compact game-by-game synopsis of the Cards’ improbable Championship.
If you’re looking for a gift for your favorite Cardinal fan or just want one of these things to hang on the wall of your office, I recommend ordering one – it’s a very cool memento of the 2011 Cardinals.
