Pitchers Hit Eighth Podcast – Episode 6.0: “You’ve got that Cubs disease.”

by on July 31, 2011 · 0 comments

Dan Shulman from ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball joins us to discuss his second visit to St. Louis in 2011 to see the Cards play the Cubs.

We also talked with Dan at length about being in the booth with Bobby Valentine and Orel Hershiser, and breaking the story that Osama Bin Laden had been killed during a live broadcast.

After Josh and I put our two cents in on some things, we also had Pat Lackey from the Pirates blog WHYGAVS join us (recorded prior to last weekend’s STL-PIT series) to break down the Pirates a bit, including any potential trading deadline moves Pat saw happening for the Bucs.

(Portions were recorded with yours truly on the phone again, so apologies for some audio tics and skips.)

Please give a listen, tell your friends, e-mail us at podcast@pitchershiteighth.com and keep reading.

Writing about the Cardinals and other loosely associated topics since 2008, I've grown tired of the April run-out only to disappoint Cardinal fans everywhere by mid-May. I do not believe in surrendering free outs.
