PH8 Fantasy Baseball, Take 2

by on April 8, 2011 · 0 comments

In honor of quite possibly the strangest start to any baseball season I can remember, every match-up in Week 1 of the PH8 League is close heading into the weekend. How close mind you? Each of the five pairings only has a two-point swing, setting up for some potential crazy moves come Sunday (or that could just be me…)

Scoreboard heading into Friday

Things were bound to start off this way after last year’s inaugural NL-only league found no help when the injury bug started. Twelve teams turned into 16 for 2011, with the two divisions doubling to four and causing bye weeks all season. While I wasn’t a fan of the bye idea initially, it will give everyone in the league a chance to recover from life as well as hopefully getting back key players.

With my World Series picks (STL and BOS) both struggling out of the gate, offensive points have been tough to find. This may have to do with a certain player who chose a not-so-funny April Fool’s hospital stay that seemed to take the wind out of Team RXR.

Follow along all year as Fridays are for PH8 Fantasy as well as #FF on Twitter. Each member is a regular contributor and check out Team Selleck Staches, the defending champion today!

PH8 League — Check it Out!

Loyal to a fault, I was taught to never give up on your team. The Cardinals have much to look forward to in '13, and my family has already planned a number of trips to Springfield and even farther up the I-44. This year will start and end with #6, however, as St. Louis will have an extra fan watching from above - RIP Stan the Man
