Pitching Duel on PH8 Day!

St. Louis and San Diego are locked up in a tight one, thanks to a key defensive play by Daniel Descalso. The Cards’ third baseman snared a Ryan Ludwick grounder with the bases loaded and doubled up the Padres to keep the Birds on the Bat leading through six.

Jaime Garcia continued his domination through seven innings on only 85 pitches, and St. Louis currently has no one warming up in the 1-0 affair.

As far as the new features go at Busch, by far the best is the food. The Cardinals have paired up with the Food Network to provide a new collection of eats, and this blogger highly recommends the bacon-wrapped hot dog with baked beans and fried onions!

On to the 8th as the baton passes to Dennis — Go Cards!

Loyal to a fault, I was taught to never give up on your team. The Cardinals have much to look forward to in '13, and my family has already planned a number of trips to Springfield and even farther up the I-44. This year will start and end with #6, however, as St. Louis will have an extra fan watching from above - RIP Stan the Man
