{Last Call} Hoping A&W Goes Nine?

It is a very long season, especially sitting here in April, but yesterday’s day/night epic will be talked about over and over. I’ll leave most of the yummy goodness to others because honestly — I’m exhausted.

St. Louis Beat

P-D’s take should be even more fun in the morning but the JSL!!! guru gives this piece that is worth your attention.

G-D’s wrap reminds us how great the rotation is and that numbers do not lie!

Leach’s re-cap: about to admit something that will make Nick smile…I was dead wrong about Twitter, and Leach’s banter is part of the reason why.

Everyone who had Felipe Lopez pitching before Francisco Rodriguez, raise your hand.

Pujols doubles home Ludwick! Oh, wait…

Seriously I nearly lost it, and I’m forever grateful for finally giving in and changing the way I follow the #stlcards.

New York Scribes

NY Post writer seems very tired but accurate here as I’d rather not be a fan of the Mets, even after winning.

Leave it to the NY Times to finish things off with this: a quote from Reyes who couldn’t be happier with his 0-7 day.

Final (and best) look from ESPN NY makes it clear that TLR thinks very highly of himself….

And why is that? Because the media, fans, grocery boys, and idiot bloggers (yours truly) have bought into the aura. I rarely gush about anything or anybody but did just that during our latest UCB Radio program. It is safe to say that the mystic has worn off, and I’m ready for Adam Wainwright to take all managerial decision out of play.

Lost in all of this is just how great Jaime Garcia pitched, setting up what I feel is the best rotation in the game. Good night/morning folks as it is time to power down for awhile. Check back later (possibly much later) as I’m sure Nick and Andrew will have plenty to say.

Loyal to a fault, I was taught to never give up on your team. The Cardinals have much to look forward to in '13, and my family has already planned a number of trips to Springfield and even farther up the I-44. This year will start and end with #6, however, as St. Louis will have an extra fan watching from above - RIP Stan the Man

Jaime was damn good. Damn good.

I think it’ll be a while before I get up the nerve to do a live blog again…

I think we can join someone else’s next time….give them some expert advice 😀

GREAT idea.

Interestingly, about a week ago I emailed Daniel about doing a live chat as a UCB event or at least publicizing one through UCB.. turns out ya’ll were way ahead of me. I’ll probably try and do one over in my neck of the woods sometime… If I can get a national TV game I hopefully could convince Erik to participate

We did a double-header live chat with UCB last season, as I recall – another all-day event, but at least folks could come and go as they please. Maybe it’s something we can do on a semi-regular basis at the UCB site, and whoever likes can just stop by?

You are just looking for more punishment, eh?

PH8 April 20, 2010

Less punishment when I don’t feel obligated to stick around because it’s my site. 😉

Of course we thought Saturday was supposed to be a televised game as well. Sounds like Fox had other thoughts for awhile. It will be a long while before I bring up that subject again!
