Opening Day PH8 Odds and Ends

A few things have been going on with the Pitchers Hit Eighth team that we felt obliged to pass along to you loyal readers (all three of you), so here goes…

Sports Hot Corner “Cardinal Blogger of the Week

Pitchers Hit Eighth was recently nominated and received the Cardinal Blogger of the Week nod at Sports Hot Corner, a message board dedicated to Cardinals discussion.

You can find the official post and a Q&A with yours truly over at the Sports Hot Corner site.

Inside Pulse Sports “30 Teams in 30 Days”

In addition to the UCB Roundtable that went on a few weeks ago, we also took part in a roundtable discussion about the Cardinals for Inside Pulse Sports.

Find the roundtable post here.

The Inside Pulse team did a great job putting together a group of posts for each team in MLB, including a 2010 season preview for the Cards, and a list of their top 10 Cardinal prospects.

PH8 @ Baseball Digest

Each Sunday (and likely some other days as well), you will now be able to find more PH8 by visiting BaseballDigest.com.

We were asked to join the online team at BD as a ‘featured blogger’ and happily accepted.

Yesterday our first piece went live, discussing Opening Day history under Tony LaRussa, and as mentioned, look for more on Sundays and any other random days the motivation strikes.

Thanks to Bill Ivie and the rest of the crew at BaseballDigest.com for the opportunity.

Writing about the Cardinals and other loosely associated topics since 2008, I've grown tired of the April run-out only to disappoint Cardinal fans everywhere by mid-May. I do not believe in surrendering free outs.

Great piece over at BD!

I’m a little more anxious to see the bullpen settle down after an interesting Opening Day, but at least the offense will help my Fantasy Leagues 🙂

Thanks Josh.

Don’t worry, the bullpen will be fine. Right? RIGHT?
