Ballpark Village says Cubs Suck

by on January 29, 2009 · 3 comments

Ok, I realize I am way late to the game on this one, but I was away from my computer for the better part of yesterday and it’s just too good not to have saved here for posterity.

I’d give credit to other sites that have posted it, but there are already too many to list here.  I could also give credit to the number of friends and family that forwarded these to me via e-mail.

Here’s hoping that this becomes a trend at Ballpark Village and we will one day see banners and the like hanging off of balconies and in windows portraying the same message.

Go Cards!

Writing about the Cardinals and other loosely associated topics since 2008, I've grown tired of the April run-out only to disappoint Cardinal fans everywhere by mid-May. I do not believe in surrendering free outs.

Please don’t waste our money on Village Ballpark. We have enough entertainment venues without wasting tax payer money on yet another one that won’t succeed because of rampant crime in STL. We should spend the money on more police. I have also heard bad things about the Cordish Company and hear that they leave cities/states high and dry to foot the bill when their lavish/crazy ideas to come to fruition. This project will come in way over budget and way under on revenue for the state/city. They are also known for being very discriminatory against minorities.

Thanks,
Jonathan

While your points are duly noted, I reckon we won’t have a lot of pull on whether or not the Village is completed, and by whom. :)

I do still think the photo is funny though.
