My guess is that if Wainer goes 6 in 70 pitches, they'll go straight to their 'pen. Pineiro would probably then slide around to another start or assume a Brad Thompson-esque role. Good news is that my original intent still could work - get Waino a start on Friday, sets him up to pitch against the Brewers on Wednesday on regular rest.
