Update under the hood

Well, I got up early this morning all prepared to lay some knowledge on you folks, when I discovered that (well, actually it was kind of forced down my throat) WordPress had released a new version overnight.

So, instead of Cardinal goodness, the site got an update.  I say ‘under the hood’ because most of it is probably functional stuff on my end that you will never see,  but will hopefully make life easy on me.

In the meantime, keep an eye out and if something isn’t behaving like it used to, let me know.

Thanks for reading.

Writing about the Cardinals and other loosely associated topics since 2008, I've grown tired of the April run-out only to disappoint Cardinal fans everywhere by mid-May. I do not believe in surrendering free outs.

You mentioned Francisco Rodriguez on my blog a few days ago. How prophetic…today he said… Francisco Rodriguez said Monday that he’ll no longer consider signing a contract extension with the Angels during the season and plans to test the free agent market.
“I’m going to go out there and explore the market,” Rodriguez said. “They had six years. They didn’t get anything done with me. If I wait six years, why not wait another 2 1/2 months?” Rodriguez turned down a three-year, $34 million deal from the Angels last winter, but as a 26-year-old who has more first-half saves than anyone in baseball history he’s in line to make far more than that as a free agent.

Much as I’d love to see him wearing Birds on the Bat, he’s going to command far more than the Cards should be investing in a closer.

Especially with CP63 being groomed for the role.
