05.13.08 – Cardinals vs. Pirates

by on May 13, 2008 · 21 comments

The Cards need a big win here tonight to get back on track. Lohse on the mound…

Lefty Phil Dumatrait on the mound for the Pirates.

Go Cards!

Writing about the Cardinals and other loosely associated topics since 2008, I've grown tired of the April run-out only to disappoint Cardinal fans everywhere by mid-May. I do not believe in surrendering free outs.

Good start for Lohse in the first.

Ankiel is reminding me of another certain CF who better not sign with the mortal enemy… 🙂

Albert extends his streak. 40 straight games – that is amazing.

C’mon Luddy!

PHE May 13, 2008

Glaus has to get going – the Cards are going to struggle mightily without his bat.

PHE May 13, 2008

Excellent pitch by Lohse.

Looks like these boys may have finally found a consistent umpire – and Angel Hernandez of all people.

PHE May 13, 2008

Oh wow.

Iz2 just made SportsCenter.

Great defensive effort behind Lohse so far tonight.

PHE May 13, 2008

*sigh*

Just when I give the umps a slight bit of credit – another blown call.

Ryan isn’t doing himself any favors with his little drop to his bum antics either…

PHE May 13, 2008

Pujols is a bit of an enigma in the field these days, not sure what was going on with that play.

He seemed to be looking into the dugout as if he wasn’t getting any help from them, or the wrong help.

Strange.

PHE May 13, 2008

Well, maybe this gets Glaus started…

PHE May 13, 2008

Troy Glaus has been fabulous in the field all season – I wish he could get that bat going to match it.

PHE May 13, 2008

Nice work by Lohse to get McLouth. Kyle is pitching very well tonight, has only made the one mistake.

Here’s hoping his offense can get it together for him.

PHE May 13, 2008

Like I said – little slap hit to right gets ole T-Roy going.

Nice work Troy.

PHE May 13, 2008

I think Lohse may be getting stretched out a bit too much here.

PHE May 13, 2008

Rough inning – can’t see why Tony would leave him in there after he had pitched so well through 6.

PHE May 13, 2008

alright boys – Springer shuts em down

PHE May 13, 2008

ALBERT

PHE May 13, 2008

C’mon Glaus – make it happen again.

PHE May 13, 2008

Yadi! Yadi! Yadi!

PHE May 13, 2008

Huge jam-buster there for Franklin.

We need some hits here in the bottom.

PHE May 13, 2008

Let’s get a clutch run!

Nice work coaxing the walk by Miles.

PHE May 13, 2008

C’mon Luddy! Cement that spot in the lineup!

PHE May 13, 2008

sigh
