grrr – Rockies’ announcers again – these guys suck
I wish Albert would’ve taken Tony’s offer for a day off.
It’s clear he’s swinging at pitches he normally wouldn’t in an effort to keep them from pitching around him.
Lohse needs to keep the ball down at Coors…
That’s why Glaus stays in the lineup at third base.
Ryan Spilborghs looks like White Goodman.
Thanks Brendan Ryan.
Ludwick again – unreal.
Welp, still some weak swings – but Ludwick stays hot. Always easier to get MORE runs than START scoring, IMO.
Just keep chipping away…
Excellent work by Lohse to calm down and get three outs.
If we can get another run here, this is just another game.
hrmmm – hitters all of a sudden seem very impatient – getting out of their season-long agenda to get on-base trying to make up these runs quickly it seems
Lohse getting killed by his defense today.
Well, his defense and walks when he was up 0-2 on the hitter. grrr
Lohse gets them out of the jam relatively unharmed. Time for the bats to pick up.
Pujols needs to take a walk. His plate appearances are starting to get frustrating.
time to get someone up in the ‘pen, Tony
Five walks so far for Lohse. Bases loaded. None out.
And there it goes…
Warning track power. Lucky.
Ugh – 2 more runs, and it’s looking like Russ Springer is coming in.
This could get much, much worse before it gets better.
Strike zone seems WILDLY inconsistent today.
*shakes head* Izturis swinging at a pitch out of the zone after 6 straight balls from De La Rosa. I don’t think Iz2’s .350 OBP is going to last.
Cards seem to be a little more patient here in the 6th – one run in, need some more 2 out hits.
I think the Cardinals just conceded. Chris Duncan in at 1B.
New pitcher – another first pitch swing. *sigh*
Ok, Ludwick is insane right now.
If the coach’s son is back in LF tomorrow against the Brewers, I will be upset.
Welp, a split in that series is a downer – should’ve taken at least 3 – and you could argue today’s outcome may have been different if not for last night.
